Elementary, middle, high school up to college age students can connect with students in the Bumpe Chiefdom through video conference. Students have so far worked on projects involved with Education, Public Health, and Female Empowerment. Please see the examples of completed and ongoing projects below (Click on Photos). School projects that are ongoing
We facilitated video conferencing between Bumpe High School and Girls Learn International (GLI) at Oakwood School in Los Angeles, USA so female students could share contrasting perspectives on culture and education.
Bumpe High School girls corresponded (pen pal exchange, video conferencing) with girls at two California high schools.
Through our collaboration with TakingITGlobal (TIG), we started the first digital literacy program in Bumpe Ngao Chiefdom. So far, we are teaching over 300 students and 50 teachers the basics of digital education.
Completed Student projects
Oakwood students (USA) visit Sierra Leone to work with Bumpe High School students.
We shared our Ebola work via Skype with schools in the US.
The Town School for Boys (San Francisco, CA) has addressed the spread and decline of Ebola in a study of exponential numbers in Algebra Class.
